Wikipedia school-year rhythm vs chatbots: dataset (MACCUS, published October 20, 2026)

amplitude_by_year.csv One row per language and calendar year, 2016 to 2026 (2026 = January 1 to October 18).
                       amplitude = median daily views of the whole project on school weekdays / median on summer days.
                       hw_term_hol = same ratio for the summed homework basket; ctrl_term_hol = same for the control basket;
                       hw_over_ctrl = hw_term_hol / ctrl_term_hol. n_term_wd, n_summer = day counts. covid = 1 for 2020.
calendars.csv School holiday windows used to label days: France zones A, B, C (data.education.gouv.fr open dataset,
                       2015-2016 and 2016-2017 encoded from the official decrees), Germany's 16 states (OpenHolidays API),
                       a standard US pattern (approximation, English context only). Source URL and retrieval time per row.
baskets.csv The homework and control article lists per language, with the 2016 median views and the selection status.
basket_daily.csv Daily views per article, human readers (agent=user), all access, July 1, 2015 to October 18, 2026,
                       from the Wikimedia Pageviews API.

Rules: a French school day is a weekday, not a public holiday, with no zone on vacation; a summer day falls in the summer break.
A German school day has at most 5 percent of pupils on vacation; a summer day has at least 70 percent on summer break
(Destatis pupil weights). 2020 is excluded from every trend. Ratios compare days within the same year.
Pageviews are not pupils, and the baskets are hand-curated: rebuild them from these files to test the result.
