Documentation — Floating Instagram
Complete guide to installing, configuring, and using the Floating Instagram plugin for WordPress.
Installation
Floating Instagram installs like any other WordPress plugin:
You can also unzip the archive and upload the floating-instagram folder to the /wp-content/plugins/ directory on your server via FTP.
Configuration
After activation, go to Settings → Floating Instagram to access the plugin options.
Enable / disable the widget
Check or uncheck the “Show the floating Instagram logo on all pages” option to control the widget’s visibility. This option lets you temporarily hide the logo without deactivating the plugin.
Instagram profile URL
Enter the full URL of your Instagram profile (for example: https://instagram.com/myprofile). This is the link your visitors will be redirected to when they click the floating logo.
Click dashboard
The settings page also displays click statistics for the last 30 days:
Data is automatically cleaned after 30 days thanks to a daily cron task. No action is required on your part.
Widget behavior
The Instagram logo is displayed in a fixed position on the right side of the screen, vertically centered. It is visible on all pages of your site (excluding the WordPress dashboard).
Uninstallation
When you delete the plugin from the WordPress dashboard (Plugins → Delete), all data is automatically cleaned:
Simply deactivating the plugin (without deleting it) keeps all your data and settings.
